Dear KCBC family,
Last Sunday I shared a graph during announcements showing how abortions in the U.S. have been declining. Here it is again:
What’s both remarkable and encouraging about this graph is it indicates since about 1980 abortions have been declining regardless of legislation or who’s in political power. Even when we’ve had pro-choice presidents and legislation, abortions have continued to decline.
The reasons for the decline are many, but we can’t discount the effect technology and ultrasounds have had, along with the grassroots efforts of pro-life pregnancy centers. These kinds of organizations have had a dramatic effect on the attitude of Americans toward abortions so much so that in an extensive study done by the University of Notre Dame, none of the participants questioned (even those pro-choice) thought of abortion as a desirable good.
These kinds of changes are causes for celebration but they are also reminders to not let down our efforts of supporting organizations that work with moms and dads on an individual basis. Changes in legislation, like the likely reversal of Roe v. Wade, are good, but they just don’t impact the culture as much as organizations like Life’s Options in Evergreen.
So let’s do all we can to help Life’s Options support those who are making unplanned pregnancy decisions and keep the decline in abortions going.
For the gospel,
Pastor Tim

Village Missions Spotlight
Tim & Susan Cox, Yampa, CO
Yampa is located at the head waters of the Yampa River, thirty-five miles south of Steamboat Springs, CO. It is the gateway to the Flattops, a beautiful mountain range in Routt National Forest. At one time Yampa was the lettuce capital of the US, but it has now evolved into a sports paradise. Many hunters and snowmobilers visit every year. Yampa is on the south end of Routt County, which is statistically the least churched and most irreligious county in Colorado. There is real need for people to understand who Christ is and what He offers.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray that we would have the wisdom to lead our church in the direction God wants.
Pray for Yampa Bible Church to grow in the love and knowledge of Christ Jesus.
Pray for Routt County, that many people would be drawn to the things of God.
Pray for our health, as we seem to be visiting often with the doctors.
